It will compete against the Hyundai Santa Fe, Ford Kuga and Volkswagen Tiguan.
Kia has sold more than 620,000 Sorento SUVs around the world since its launch in 2009, it's also Kia's second best selling model in the USA.
On the outside, the new bumpers and tailgate bring the styling up to date, while LED lights and 19-inch alloy wheels make the Sorento stand out.
The interior offers seating for up to seven adults, with more soft-touch materials and a new instrument cluster complete with 7-inch display screen. The new Sorento will also be available with a larger panoramic sunroof.
The new Sorento arrives in the UK in September, with full UK prices and specifications available nearer to launch.
